Kemenko PM Visits Collabox Creative Hub in Strengthening Semarang’s Creative Economy

On Wednesday, October 29, 2025, Collabox Creative Hub welcomed a special guest: Minister of Community Empowerment Coordination, Muhaimin Iskandar, along with his delegation from Kemenko PM.


The visit was part of an open and constructive dialogue titled “Synergy between Government, Private Sector, and Communities to Build a Resilient Creative Economy.” This event marked an important milestone in strengthening Semarang’s creative economy through collaboration across sectors.


Over 100 attendees joined the event, including creative communities, MSMEs, and local creative industry players. The atmosphere was lively, with engaging discussions and constructive exchanges.

During the discussion, Kemenko PM expressed strong appreciation for Collabox’s model as a community-driven creative hub. Collabox has demonstrated that private initiatives can successfully create a self-sustaining creative ecosystem, one that not only empowers local creators but also drives Semarang’s creative economy forward.


Representing Collabox, Gemma Tedjokusumo shared insights about the hub’s vision, programs, and its role as Semarang’s leading creative ecosystem. The discussion emphasized how collaboration and shared infrastructure can help creative talents and businesses grow sustainably.

Collaboration with KEK Central Java and Tokopedia


The event was moderated by Akhmad Khairudin M.Si, Chairperson of the Central Java Creative Economy Committee (KEK Jateng). Leontinus Alpha Edison, Co-Founder of Tokopedia, also joined the dialogue and expressed support for the growth of Semarang’s creative sector.


The combination of government, industry players, and communities provides a concrete example of the cross-sector collaboration needed to develop the regional creative economy. This is in line with Semarang's creative economic growth.
